THE STORY

An American Mineral Water From the Appalachians

Premium water lists have long been dominated by imported European names. Cedar Mountain offers a domestic counterpoint: a single-origin natural mineral water from Tioga County, Pennsylvania, shaped by Appalachian geology and bottled in glass at the source.

The water is drawn from a confined Devonian-era Appalachian source and shaped by a roughly 300-meter geological formation. Its 290 mg/L TDS profile places it in the medium-mineral range, with enough structure for food and hospitality service while remaining balanced at the table.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cedar Mountain Introduces a Pennsylvania Natural Mineral Water for Fine Dining and Hospitality

Single-origin water from Tioga County, Pennsylvania brings a published 290 mg/L mineral profile, pH 8.0, and Appalachian source story to a premium category long led by imported brands.

TIOGA COUNTY, Pa. Cedar Mountain Natural Mineral Water is preparing to launch a single-origin, glass-bottled American natural mineral water from the Appalachian highlands of Pennsylvania, with a hospitality-first focus on restaurants, hotels, private clubs, and curated table service.

Cedar Mountain is drawn from a confined Devonian-era Appalachian source in Tioga County and bottled at origin. The water has a published mineral profile of 290 mg/L total dissolved solids and a naturally alkaline pH of 8.0. Its composition includes calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, sodium, and silica, giving it a medium-mineral profile designed for food pairing, table service, and beverage programs.

"Cedar Mountain exists because American water deserves a place at the serious table. We have a Pennsylvania source with a real mineral profile, real geology, and a story that can stand beside the imported names."

— Hasan Fazelbhoy, Founder

The brand enters a premium water market where fine-dining lists are often dominated by European imports. Cedar Mountain's position is different: a domestic, source-specific natural mineral water from Pennsylvania, supported by published composition data and independent laboratory analysis.

The Cedar Mountain site identifies the water as meeting the FDA natural mineral water standard under 21 CFR 165.110, based on naturally occurring minerals and a total dissolved solids level above the 250 mg/L threshold. The site also reports 2025 independent NELAP-accredited laboratory analysis, including non-detect results for PFAS, nitrates, lead, and mercury.

Cedar Mountain's hospitality materials position the water for beverage directors, sommeliers, chefs, hotels, and private clubs seeking a domestic mineral water with a clear source story. Available hospitality formats include glass 750 ml and 375 ml still bottles.

At the 2026 Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting, Cedar Mountain was recognized in the People's Choice Package Design category, placing second for its 750 ml frosted bottle and third for its 375 ml clear bottle.

"A great restaurant thinks carefully about wine, coffee, glassware, and service," Fazelbhoy said. "Water should not be the forgotten pour. Cedar Mountain gives beverage directors a domestic natural mineral water with structure, clarity, and a source story their teams can actually tell."
